  3. Open-air ethnographic museum in Mrówki

Hidden in a forest, surrounded by marshes and an additional moat there is a motte-and-bailey castle (XIII/XIV century). The archaeological open-air museum in Mrówki is primarily a watchtower (serving as a viewing platform), which together with a half-dugout surrounded by a palisade and moat forms a real medieval defensive fortification. The entire development also includes a bridge, gate, fishing huts and wooden forge.

Distance from the Hotel: 31.5 km

Practical information/trivia:

The museum is open from 1 April to 30 September, daily from 10am to 6pm. Tickets price: 2 and 3 PLN.
